A coworker had a birthday about 3 weeks ago and we all had ice cream cake, and I can't stop craving it, constantly, and insistantly, since then, but there's no way I can afford to cough up $20 for one of my own. Can anyone think of a cheaper alternative that's just as good? This craving is driving me crazy... must have ice cream cake...

i'm pretty sure you can justify buying it if you eat it over the course of a week or two...if it takes you 10 days to eat it then that's 2$ a slice, right?! that's like a coffee a day. just saying.

that's so true ryleee... I had a craving for bday cake (white cake with white frosting...) and we got one at least a week ago and I still have half of it in the freezer. It's for special occasions and keeps well, and in the freezer is usually out of sight out of mind.

try crushing oreos into a baking dish. soften ice cream and spread on top. add anothe layer of oreos and some chocolate and caramel syrup. then the rest of the ice cream. return to freezer for several hours to harden.

Not in my budget, I very rarely splurge... though I'm considering it... just this once...
