(whispering...please be careful if feeding at night on the couch...co-sleeping in this situation can be risky...please please ignore me if you already knew that, I know it's easier said than done, but it's quite common for mums where I'm from to hear the inaccurate "don't share a bed with your baby" message and so drag their sleepy selves out of bed at night, only to fall asleep in a position which actually may put their baby at risk only they were never told that...)

Yesterday my doula came to visit and I was doing some infant CPR on her Baby Annie doll and I thought wow,what a cool dolly she can pee when my legs started to get wet. Then my doula said oh wow your really leaking milk! I wasn't wearing a bra and it started to drip out and I didn't notice at first and then it started to spurt out!

There is milk all over my couch from sitting here nursing him while topless,all over my bed and even some drops on the floor!

uh, yeah. i'm treating myself to a new mattress after we wean. i don't want to wean any day soon, but i am looking forward to a new mattress.

I always love waking up to DH, "Honey can I have that towel. I'm laying a puddle of your breast milk." I swear breastfeeding mom's bodies sometimes try to feed the whole dang world while we sleep.
