1 month old reflux/allergies

Hey everyone,
I was wondering what I should do. I think my babe has reflux or may be allergic to some food that i am consuming. What should i do? The ped. said that it sounds like a little reflux but she's too young to do much about it but it breaks my heart. She spits up a lot (small amounts but frequently) sometimes she will screech while nursing and pull off. She gets cranky about 15 minutes after some feedings and there is nothing I can do for her until she burps or poos, even then sometimes it persists. I burp her frequently but it seems like it is not enough, she just won't burp more....her little belly gets hard and she is so upset. I haven't altered my diet yet, her issues seemed to go away for about 2 weeks but they are back now so I am starting a food journal today. Any other hints? I DO NOT want to give her prescription meds unless I HAVE TO.
Are there natural remedies for gas/reflux?
Has anyone else had this issue?
Please help......

If you suspect food allergies, removing the top 8 allergens (dairy, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, citrus) from your diet immediately along with keeping a food journal is the way to start. You could try gripe water...it helps for some, for some it doesn't do anything. Keeping your baby upright or elevated somewhat after feeding can help (held or in a baby swing or bouncer, etc.) I'm sorry your poor baby is going through this!

The most likely culprit is dairy. But if you use soy instead of dairy, a lot of times that doesn't work because a lot of kids who are senstive to one are sensitive to both. So that's the next thing to take out. Then gluten. Then corn. Then the rest of the top 8 allergens. At least that's the order I'd go in. It takes 3-4 days to get out of your milk so you probably won't see results tomorrow.

Gripe Water did help my DD2 while I was figuring out her food issues which I felt better about than reflux meds.
