layering jars in pressure canner

I'm planning on ordering the Presto 23 qt pressure canner and I'm wondering if I need to get a second jar rack to put a second layer of 1/2 pt or pt jars in?

If you can layer in your canner, it should come with the extra rack. (ETA: at least I've never heard of a new canner coming without it.)
