trouble with religious exemption at Wellington public schools?

Hi,

I heard from a friend that once you enter your child in kindergarten (public school), the school can give you a fight on a religious exemption. I've used it without problem at the preschools but a public school in Palm Beach County may be a different story. Any issues? We live in Olympia and were planning on entering our older child into Equestrian Trails, since it's so close...

We could always go private with Wellington Christian but we can barely afford the prices we're paying for preschool! Thanks for any info!

I believe that there are links to the Laws on nivic.org to each state and what it will allow. The public system will have no fight against it. They may try at first, but I would just go in prepared with the law in hand just in case. I had a friend have issues in NYC for daycare provider so she just stapled the law to her letter and they accepted it. HTH!

My experience in Brevard County has been...uneventful. All you do is go to the local Health Department (in Melbourne it's called the "clinic") and ask for an HD681. Then the original gets turned in on registration day. Florida is not know for hassling parents like NY and other states are. It should be easy-peasy! GL!

My kids go to Wellington schools. Elbridge Gale & Emerald Cove. The elementary has a LED sign with announcements & one running through it says, no vaccinations - no school - no kidding!

My oldest 2 were vaccinated. I'm planning on not vaccinating my younger 2. So it should be interesting when we enroll them.  I am expecting a fight since this community is SO against nonvax.
