My DS turned three in July and has always been very spirited. I have him enrolled in a 2x 2.5 hour a week pre-k program. He started about a month ago, this is not his first time in a school situation. He LOVES going, he really enjoys the children and all the activities. When I pick him up the teacher tells me how he jumped on someone, grabbed a toy, or played too ruff. Today in particular he went to jump on one of the boys in the playground the boy is much smaller than my son and of course he got knocked down and began to cry. The teacher has been telling him to try and take it slow, she has him sit with her for a few minute to "relax" I am aware that he does play rough his 5yo sister is used to his behavior and just puts up with it. He does need some redirection when dealing with his 9mo brother. My real question is... Is this normal 3yo behavior? I don't want children to become afraid of ds, he really is the sweetest boy he is just VERY hands on. He does not mean to hurt and does feel bad when he realizes what he has done. What can i do?
