Old Navy Fleece Pants

I've heard people here say they've used old navy fleece baby/toddler pants as longies/fleece covers.
All I see this year on their website is microfleece, I know from experience this won't work. Any other options before I buy a bunch of fleece and start sewing?

The Children's Place sells really thick fleece pants for boys, the girl stuff isn't as thick. And, I don't know if they are out yet because I think it's a winter item.

Not sure if they're selling it yet, but I think Gymboree's fleece pants tend to be pretty thick (not "micro"fleece)... they go on some pretty great sales too. I think day after Thanksgiving, for both girls and boys, you can get them for $4.xx. I could be wrong though.

Gap might sell fleece pants for toddlers too but I'm not sure.

You can always thrift shop and buy some fleece sweaters/sweatshirt things and make them out of the arms...super easy. I just made a couple pairs this week, some polar fleece and some out of wool sweaters from half price goodwil day. Have you seen any of the turorials for those?

I've done baby pants out of old t-shirts (the body part). I'll google doing it for arms, thanks. I JUST started sewing and am a little nervous about sewing something she'll wear out of the house

LOL, I hear you but these are easy as pie! I just started sewing this week and have already made 4 or 5 pairs and they are adorable. You can put really simple apliques on them from other parts...you really can't mess these up. I surfed around etsy for some ideas on how to decorate them. I did a happy dance the first time one of my girls wore a cover I made...they are amazingly cute and I have NO skills. You will be amazed at what you can do.
