Great clothing swap site!

I thought some of you would love to know about this site. I just ordered my first box!

This sounds great! It seems a bit hard to get into the site, though. It doesn't sound like you can swap to Canada, though I may have missed something. We do swaps here all the time, but I would use this service, too. I love getting things in the mail! Thanks for the link.

I just signed up for this and it looks like I have 2 boxes of clothing being shipped to me, 1 for each child. They'll also be sending 10 UPS boxes for me to send clothes back to them in. I'm so excited! Thanks so much for sharing this site!

Try super secret code 'mysavings' for a free box.

Did you do the Pro membership? I could only get one box until I swap one, but am waiting on my boxes to come...

No, I didn't. I'm pretty sure it said I was getting 2, but I entered information for my DS, as well as my DSD who is soon to move in. Did you only enter info for one child?

No, I entered info for 2.

Ah well, I just scored 2 squall parkas for cheap elsewhere so I'm still thrilled, lol.

It does say this: You are currently previewing the benefits of a PRO membership. This status will continue until you've confirmed and paid for your first pick.

I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I could be wrong, though. I thought it said 2, but it could be 1. In any case, I'll be happy to even receive 1. This is such a cool idea!

They never let me pick more than one. I dunno.

Can someone explain exactly how it works? I don't think I really get it.
how it works:
You list boxes of outgrown clothing to send to other people
You pick boxes from the list for your kids
You pay shipping PLUS an extra fee for the clothing sent to you.
To send clothing out, you just print a label.

everyone is happy, right?

except that you can't search by brand (I am a little picky about that) and with the cost of priority shipping, it may be MUCH more cost effective to stop at a few yard sales, and your local goodwill. Could be a great idea if you live in the middle of nowhere, though, and need kids clothing.

I've looked at this, for the last 30 minutes, and it doesn't look that great. I think if I spent 15 bucks at target or costco, or a thrift store, I can get exactly what I want in great condition or new.

We don't wear clothes with characters, etc. and I'm picky.... so I think I'll skip this. But a cool idea!

Well, as long as it's clean, we're not picky. Honestly, I'd be willing to bet the stuff we get will be better brands than I usually buy anyway. But I have great Hannah Andersson to swap! (my mom buys that, lol)

We only have one thrift store, and it's an hour to a Plato's Closet, which we'll have to do for the 11 yo because of her size (TALL).

Hmm. I am checking it out right now. If I try it out, I'll let you guys know what I think.

I'll keep you in mind, then, if I come across any in that size. Actually, I may have a pair of green stripey jammies in size 90 for ya after my dd's new ones come in for her bday. I think most of our other stuff is way too big.

Got my first swap box!

A box came today and I am VERY happy with what we got. My dd needed jeans soooo badly, and I got a box with 5 pair of nice jeans, 2 pair of leggings, 1 pair of pajama pants, and 1 pair of shorts.

How much did it cost?

$15.70 total. That was for size 4, so there was more in the box than I'd expect for my 9 yo.

That sounds like a good deal.
