VBAC -Ottawa Valley

I am just starting on my VBAC journey! I had a c/s at the Queensway Carleton. I am trying to get as informed as possible to avoid the c/s route. I am not sure if I should go the route or midwife or OB. Im nervous and do not want a homebirth (Also live in a rural area outside ottawa so hospital is a bit of a trip). Are there hospitals that are more VBAC friendly?? I am looking for suggestions for support people OB's, midwives, and doulas. I would love to hear stories from women who had successful VBAC's or tried to. I have been encountering alot of negativity and cautionary tales. I would love to have some contact with people who understand my need to try to have VBAC!!

Another Ottawa VBAC! I'm just starting my VBAC journey as well.
I've heard many, many times that "Queensway does not do VBACs". I hope it's not true. I only know of 1. When I asked a few years ago, OVM told me that Queensway only allows them to do VBACs for women who were midwifery clients for their previous pregnancy. BUT - they now have privileges at Almonte. Definitely worth a call to them (and call soon - summer is busy). I'd also call the other groups in Ottawa and surrounding (depending on where you are). From what I've heard, Queensway is the least VBAC friendly in the city. Montfort is probably the most VBAC friendly. There are midwives at the Civic now too, as well as Almonte and Winchester. Good luck! PM me if you want more info or to chat.
