Well isn't that interesting? My toddler posted my rant before I finished!

I am frustrated by almost strangers or just aquantances trying to "coach" or teach my children things like SPEACH! REally? Since when did your high school diploma train you to teach children speach? That is new to me.

Why are they dumping on me just because I am calm and homeschooling and they choose not to? I'm not doing this because it is easy to teach my smart children, or because I am better than you at anything. School just isn't a good fit right now, especially with my 2e kid. (Although yes, we are able to do all of our school work in about 3 hours a day). And you don't need to quiz him to make sure we're actually doing school work, thanks!

Why can't you notice that my child is doing LEAPS AND BOUNDS BEYOND normal in so many areas, EXCEPT THE PLACE YOU FOCUS? Even in his lowest spots, he is still normal. 20 month old children do not talk in sentences, usually. Just some do. Most are still learning to make a few understandable words. But you hounding him everytime you see us, is annoying and makes the boy feel self concious and put on the spot. STOP IT!

OK. Rant over for the moment. Thanks!

And here I thought, wow, she must be real overworked to have to be so ... succinct.
Though I have days when all I want to say is

, too.

Glad you're feeling better!

Thanks for listening!

DD is pretty much the same age and her pronunciation is really hard to understand but like your son she also speaks in long sentences. Normally, most people don't understand her (even DH!) so nobody's tried to correct her pronunciation but I can only imagine how frustrating that would be!!! I really can't imagine why anybody would be so worried about this in a 20 month old???

since when is a 20-month-old being "homeschooled"? I mean, don't you sort of have to be school-age before its considered even unusual to not attend school?

those people bugging you sound like busybodies!

Busybodies for sure. I am homeschooling my 10 year old. It is the same 2 people who are just driving me crazy.

Thanks for listening.
