Small & underweight child-allergies? protein pwdrs?

One of my kids (and only one) just went to a physical and measured 10th% for height and not even close to the scale for weight. She's 40 inches and 36 lbs. at 6 years old. She was 8 lbs. 2 oz at birth and has been dropping down in percentile since about age 2. Last physical she was maybe 25th percentile-1.5 or 2 years ago. The past year in particular she has been waking a lot at night with a belly ache and puking. This is anywhere from once every two weeks to 4 times a week. As an infant she had a severe dairy allergy (and a couple other minor food allergies and abx allergies) and later a big candida issue before we thought the allergy went away around weaning at age 2.5. She was ok for awhile, but now I'm wondering if the allergy did not go away (her strawberry one definitely did) but is manifesting in her inability to digest properly and that's why she's so little and having so many belly aches?

I forgot to ask about an allergist referral at the doctor, but I suppose I could do that. My dh and I both were very small kids-but average height and healthy BMI now, and dh's family (the females) are all quite short, so for awhile I haven't thought anything of it, but the more I dwell on it, the more worried I am. She has no appetite at all and just isn't growing. My other kids are not in the same position. My toddler is 25th-30th percentile but has a healthy appetite. That's the lowest of the bunch, otherwise.

Is there anything I can do before an allergist appointment (if the doc will even refer us) to help her gain weight? Protein shakes? Whey protein is a no-no especially since I'm wondering about dairy allergies, and I'm iffy about soy protein since my mom has thyroid cancer. Would hemp powder work? Anything else I can do?

I'd take her off dairy (and soy) and see what happens. It's not uncommon for reactions to change as kids get older. It sounds like she started dropping on her growth curve about the same time she went back on dairy.

Hemp powder would work. Maybe try digestive enzymes and/or HCL to help with digestion for the time being?
