Well darn, he beat me at that one.

I tried so hard to reason with my two year old this morning. I calmly resettled him in his bed explaining that, "We don't get up to play until the sun is up." It seemed reasonable enough to me- and I really wanted that extra half hour of sleep....

No sooner had I closed my eyes than my lovely child hopped out of his bed walked to the light switch, flipped it on, and said, with great glee, "Sun up!"

So funny... reminds me of the time my little guy kept coming in and asking me to play with his train set while I was trying to get a few extra zzz's. Finally he got so frustrated and said "Mama, you HAVE to play with Percy EVERY MORNING!"...

He got that saying from me, when he's resisting non-negotiable things I usually say "DS you HAVE to brush your teeth every morning"... "DS you HAVE to get dressed every morning"...

Yeah, we had just taught DS the "we sleep until Mr Sun comes up" rule when summer came to Alaska. THAT was great for developing his argumentative skills.
