Embarrissing Pregnant sex question

Okay, well...I thought that certain positions are good in pregnancy such as DH behind me. Doenst that force air up the vag? For me it does and I thought that wasn't a good thing.

Can someone help me feel better that I didn't do anything wrong? I was just reading something the other day regarding exercise and how you shouldn't do anything that forces air up there. Just a little worried now...

What's the best position?

Hm, no idea about how to answer your question, sorry! However, we have found me on top to be a good position so far.

one that feels good!
Idk, I'm aware of the air embolism issue...but it exists whether you're pregnant or not, so to me it's a lot like the prohibition on deli meat- not something I worry about. But if it does worry you, then I would suggest asking your partner to just be a little more gentle so as to force in less air. I like sex way too much to let "expert" advice prevent me from enjoying it while pregnant. If it's not uncomfortable, I do it

I've never heard of it forcing air up there... The only precaution I've heard of is not to 'blow' air up there.

I was never really a fan of rear-entry positions though. Sure the bump isn't in the way anymore but it wasn't worth it. There are plenty of other positions you don't have to be a gymnast to try.

(ps: Google the position "Face Off". Works okay and it avoids both having the bump get in the way and hurting my insides by bouncing it too hard. )

ok so TMI

To stop the forced air issue, Dh can't go all the way out then back in. Once he is in he has to move within that space, its the re entry that's causing air.

side laying works for us too.

I think my concern at this point is weather I not I hurt myself or the baby...

I know it sounds silly but I just need that paranoid mom reassurance, LOL.

After 2 babies, my philosophy is whatever feels good and is doable. We did "doggie style" through most of my second pregnancy.

Yeah the amount dh pulls all the way out will determine in some part how much air is trapped. But in general doesn't the mucus plug protect your uterus?

And yeah I'm another one for " whatever feels good" , I think my body will tell me when I'm doing it wrong and the last 6 months of finding good and bad positions supports my thoughts.
