Why is my 22 month old pooping so much?? (TMI and gross, sorry!)

DS is a pooper, and typically goes 2-3 times a day. But for the past couple of weeks he has seriously been pooping 5-7 times a day. Every time I change his diaper it is because he has pooped. At first I thought it was food allergy related. He is allergic to dairy, and I ate something with dairy. He was definitely affected, he had very mucousy green poop for a few days, but that is long gone and it is back to normal.

Also, this is somewhat gross, but yesterday he had an orange with lunch. A few hours later when he pooped it was very clear that he was pooping that orange. Is this normal? I was shocked at how quickly it appeared in his diaper.

Have you posted in the allergies forum? My only kiddo that does that is my youngest who has a lot of food intolerance issues. She ate some grapes a few weeks ago and they went straight through her totally undigested (eta: less than an hour after she ate them) and she always has diarrhea any time she gets something she isn't supposed to.

That sounds like a food sensitivity - especially the orange. Oranges and citrus in general can cause issues for little ones.
