Not a big day eater- would this work?

I admit I need to adopt better eating habits. I usually eat very sparingly during the day. I am never hungry for breakfast and many days don't do lunch either but can if I make it a point to. I get thirsty just not that hungry during the day. I do eat a good dinner but then continue snacking after that. I seem to only be hungry at night. I also have an aggravated vaso-vagal response when pregnant which gets triggered by my lack of eating. Found that out the hard way with my last pregnancy! All that to say would the nutritional drinks like Ensure be an okay thing to drink while pregnant? I don't want to use them as my only source of nutrition just like for breakfast and maybe a snack?

This says they're safe.

Diet shakes are safe, but not if you're using them to "diet." Ready-made shakes can be used as an occasional meal or snack on the go, but don't rely on them every day. When you're pregnant, you want to make sure you're eating a variety of foods from all of the food groups.

These shakes are typically a flavored milk-based beverage with vitamins and fiber thrown in. You can easily make your own shakes if you want more control over the nutrients.
