Anyone tried Grovia?

Similar concept to gDiapers, but the cover is waterproof instead of having the knit cover plus the waterproof snap-in liner. Also, I noticed that their cloth inserts snap in and are GUSSETTED... they look really nice. Of course, they're like $8.50 each. Covers are $16.95 (but don't need a new cover each time). They also have the "bioliners" option (which would be like using the flushable/disposable liners for gDiapers).

Just curious if anyone has tried them--oh the other difference is the covers are a one-size rather than S, M, L.

ETA: One more difference--Grovia cloth soakers are organic cotton, gDiapers cloth inserts are hemp with a top layer of microfleece.

My neighbor has them and they seem to run small. It's fine for her baby, but by the time mine was 6 months old there is no way they would have fit her comfortably anymore. She's a chubby chunker and was 19lbs already at 6 months.

Good to know! My son was about 20 lbs at 6 months, so that's useful information.

This. We tried one with the Jillian's Drawers trial. They definitely run small. My 2 mo was on the biggest setting (About 14 lbs). That aside, I really liked the fit on him it was very trim. I did NOT like the weird inserts though.

We have a mix of Grobaby/Grovia. DS is (almost) 11 months and about 18 1/2 lbs. he is on the largest setting. TBH, you will probably have to change the shell with each diaper change. the waterproof layer on the insert is pretty thin, and unless your child has very solid poops, it will not stay on the insert. (DS's do stay in the shell, but not necessarily on the insert)

If you are looking for a hybrid sort of system, I would do FLIPs. the gDiaper 'sposie inserts work really well in them, they are trim, and I love not having to snap in the insert. There is also an organic insert option. We are doing the stay-dry at the moment. and for the price ($50 for a day pack, which is 2 covers and 6 inserts) I really think that it is a hard-to-beat price. The organic is $10 more, I think.
