wait...no one's watching Community or Modern Fam?????

Community and Modern Family are LOL funny. I'm surprised there's no thread on the 1st two pages about either!

The last Community epi? "Those aren't thumbs." :rofl

And I love the gay couple on Modern Family. I wonder why they aren't married, tho? I mean even if it's not legal. Maybe I missed the epi thy addressed that in?

I have seen each of last seasons Modern Family episodes at least twice, and off the top of my head I don't recall hearing anything about why they aren't married. But I have been known to be wrong before
I have only seen one ep from this season so far- I'm waiting to watch them with my mom (thats why I saw all of last season twice- because I was too impatient to wait to watch them with her, so I ended up watching by myself and then watching again with her).

I will watch community if there is nothing better to watch, but I'm not a huge fan.

I love Modern Family!! It's mine and DH's new favorite show. We love the gay couple as well. I've never heard them address the marriage thing.

Never seen an episode of Community, I'll have to check that out.

I love both those shows! It took longer for Community to grow on me, but now it is one of my Favs. I thought the man on man affection on last week's Modern Family was adorable and awesome.

I love both shows! I don't watch Modern Family all that often- maybe I should start watching it on my lunch break.

We watch Community on Hulu, so I'm always a few days behind. I haven't seen last week's yet. I love that show, though. Way more than I ever expected to.

Does anybody watch both Modern Family and Parenthood? Have you noticed how similar they are, but just one is a complete comedy and one is a dromedy?

Love both of these shows!

Have you see Parenthood? We really like that show too, and it's along the same lines of modern family.

I just finished last season's Community and I loved it. We don't get to watch much TV live because of the kids. We try to put them to bed by 7, but that often doesn't happen. We don't have DVR, so we can't record it.

Don't watch C but do watch MF.

What I personally find funny about the parenthood vs. MF thing....we have a son on the spectrum but I don't enjoy the Asperger's storyline at all in Parenthood...while I love the son in MF and find that much more cathartic to watch!

We watch and love both of these shows.

My favorite MF so far was a couple of weeks ago with the "rat shovel." OMG, I laughed so hard when Jay said, "She left its head as a message to the other rats."

Community is awesome too, but we liked Joel McHale from The Soup for a while. He was also on a Battlestar Galactica special with other celebs who were big fans. He was totally funny. Our favorite epi. is the paintball one.

Although I will have to say that more time than not our family life is more like The Middle!

I record MF and watch when I can.

DH doesn't like to watch it because he finds most scenes difficult to watch, embarrassing to him. Which I find weird, because this is the same man who could watch chain yankers or whatever that show was called where people are being made fun of in REAL LIFE (which I couldn't watch), and MF is fiction... Ah well. If I ask him to spend time with me and it's on, he has a pillow over his head half the time, lol.

i loooooove MF.

i esp. find the life of sofia vergara fascinating. the colombian wife. she is blonde IRL but always dyes herself to fit in better. who can imagine a blonde from Colombia. she has also battled thyroid cancer.

fascinating stuff.

I avoided Community at first because it looked dull, but dh made me watch a couple of episodes and now I love it. Abed alone makes watching worth it.

The paintball episode is Season 1, Episode 23; it's funnier if you've watched the whole season, but still, quite funny and a favorite of the fans. It also helps if you have attended community college ; the creator based the show on a Spanish class he took at a community college to try to hold on to his girlfriend.

We love both these shows so much. My whole family (grandmother, parents, sister & her boyfriend, and us) gets together on Wednesdays to have dinner together and then watch modern family.
