Cradle Cap ?

Thread Starter
My 8 week old has cradle cap - i think i remember hearing to 'exfoliate' gently with a super soft baby brush - and moisturize after bath - i usually use a little sweet almond oil in his bath.
Any one have any tips on getting rid of this?

My ds1 has it but not ds2. Back then I wasn't crunchy, so I used J&J baby oil, but you can sub any natural carrier oil. Wash the head, coat it in oil, put on a cap and leave for as long as possible. Coconut oil would be a great choice, but almond is fine. After about 12-24 hours you should be able to brush away the scales. I only had to do it once and it was gone completely.

easy peasy.

rub olive oil into the scalp and leave on for like 10 minutes or so. then take a soft toothbrush (or baby comb, they say, but i have no idea what that is) and brush gently.
make sure to wash it out really well.
you'd be surprised at how much comes off, way more than i thought she had, so i actually repeated a couple days later. but it basically took just that one time and i never saw it again.

Mine have both had really persistant cradle cap. Olive oil, soft toothbrush, and *NOT* working on the pieces that don't want to come off are probably the best things you can do for it.

This didn't get rid of it by any means, it went on for months.
