"Fair food" that are milk free?

We are taking our LO's to the fair tomorrow and would like to partake in some type of food for them. Any suggestions as to what would be milk-free? I looked up funnel cakes and they are full of milk If worse comes to worse, we can get him french fries (the fresh cut kind that are all potato). He wouldn't die if he had a little bit of milk but with cold season upon us, I don't want to increase mucous at all - he will get an ear infection if that happens. So cross-contamination is fine, but I don't want anything to have milk as a product in any form in it. Help?

How about Kettle Corn? The vendor here is safe for my allergic DD.

I guess it depends what the fair food is. Chili is a possibility. Sweet potato or regular fries (but if something else is fried too, you would have to worry about what else goes in there). I always ask. I had a dairy free gyro when that's all I had to worry about (just left off the tzatziki (yogurt) sauce). Hamburger with no bun.
