I did get to take a good nap yesterday morning and I slept pretty good last night. Just a little disappointed that nothing happened last night. Everything is pretty quiet on the tummy front this morning too. I just vacuumed, swept, and mopped my downstairs. DD1 is napping right now and DD2 is watching Rapunzel. I guess I could work some more on my knitting. I'm knitting a dishcloth and its a new pattern for me. Or I could read my book. I treated myself to 2(!) fresh doughnuts this morning when I ran to the store for some milk, bread, juice, and cereal from WIC before hubby had to leave for work. Man those doughnuts are REALLY good fresh!! Oh, and its also raining here.... again.

I had a great midwife appt today. 2cm and 50% effaced. I know it doesn't mean anything, but I can still be happy that something is happening. I've been crampy the last few days. So at a least some movement is happening. Baby is in a great position and is doing perfectly.

Everything is finally ready for the home birth. Kit and tub set up, clothes and diapers washed. House is clean, food is made and ready. Now just waiting. Patiently...

Well, I thought I was having some contractions last night (turned out just to be bh). I'm trying so hard not to get upset and disappointed. We have somethings scheduled for this weekend ~ I'm even going to get a massage! Hopefully keeping myself busy will help me forgot (yeah right!).

yeah I contracted pretty nicely from about 5pm to 11pm, and then they fizzled. i even text my MW to give her a heads up. blahhhhhhh. nothing today. hating me some prodromal labor.

Well I made it almost all the way through this pregnancy without a stranger touching my belly. Then yesterday it happened , but maybe now that thats out of the way we can get on with some labor. Hoping for some full moon magic tonight!

Still waiting over here, too. Last check I was 3+cm and 60% effaced, which was where I was the week before. With DS my water had broken and 7 hours later I was still only 2cm. This is why I'm puzzled as to what this little one is doing. Must just think it's cozy in there.

Good morning everyone. Nothing again last night. I did get to sleep in a little bit though. Hubby has to work today and is gone already. All the kids are up already. No idea what we are going to do today. It was drizzling when hubby left this morning. I can't believe that I am still pregnant and haven't had the baby yet. And now I'm not having near the amount of BH's that I was having but when I do have them, they are REALLY tight. I feel like I can actually go till the end of this coming week. It's hard to imagine that one day this week I COULD start birthing this baby and that I COULD go until the weekend and STILL be pregnant at Halloween! WOW.

Still gestating here, too. Lots of contractions and more energy than I've been having, though, which is promising. I have no idea when s/he is going to make an appearance.
My ILs have the kids tonight so I will get some extra rest today/tonight, which will be great.

I'm still gestating to hoping for some full moon magic tonight lol. But I feel like I'm going to be preggo for like another two weeks. I'm just really ready to have my midsection back.

39w3d and since i was having lots of "fullness" below and pubic symphysis pain, i assumed i'd dropped, but the midwife says 'no', baby is still way up there. any first time moms out there who have had the baby drop? what i've read is the baby usually drops early for first timers, even 2 weeks in advance. i'm hoping that is not necessarily true and i still have a chance at going into labor in the next few days.

anyone have any experience with the correlation of dropping and timing of labor?

Unfortunately, dropping is another one of those things like the mucous plug. Could mean you're going into labor tomorrow, could mean your going in a week or two.

My first baby didn't really "drop" until I was in labor. This baby, on the other hand, has been down low for weeks now.

We went to the mall today to get some cold weather clothes for DH. All the walking has made me extremely uncomfortable all night. Lots of BH and pressure way down low. Sometimes the pressure is so intense during a BH that I wince and have to breath through it. I took a bath and the sensations went away while I was in the water but came back as soon as I stood up.

I'm pretty sure it's nothing and I just walked too much today. Hopefully a full night's sleep will chase these annoying sensations away.

Still here, tenant still comfortably in place. At least one of us is comfortable!
Had a major nesting urge yesterday and the house looks (by my standards!) great. Getting ready to make some pumpkin bread and applesauce with my daughter. Still having lots of contractions and some nausea, occasional vomiting. The baby is moving pretty well. Yesterday I had tons of energy but today not so much.
Only six people commented that I was still pregnant today at church. Why yes, I'd noticed!

No full moon magic for me either. I woke up and cried. Pityful, I know. I've been so emotional the past few days and really want this baby to come now. I'm having a very difficult time being patient. I'm having BH more often. I did a ton of walking yesterday and today. I'm just so uncomfortable and really want to meet this little one.

Oh ~ and I dropped a week ago.
