Buddhist Homeschooling Mamas - Page 2

Okay we're not really Buddhists, but we do feel inspired by many Buddhist teachings.  However, I had to pop in and share - We got to go see the Dalai Lama last Wednesday!!!  It was great.  We listened to a panel discussion with him, Sister Helen Prejean (Dead Man Walking book), and Vincent Harding (Civil rights leader - wrote some speeches for Martin Luther King, Jr.) Our university has been lucky enough to have some Tibetan monks in residence, so we watch a few ceremonies each year.  My daughter has been able to try making a sand mandala and things like that.  The school also sponsors the TEXT project which is capturing the stories of Tibetans in exile.

It was a great homeschooling morning - even if it was shared with about 14,000 other people. LOL
