Hi All,

Wanted to get your take on what could be happening. Last month I got my cycle 5 days early (which has never happened) That lasted for 7 days (also not normal, cycle is normally 3-4) and there were a lot of blood clots and painful cramps. Now I am at day 29 of my cycle ( normal cycle is 28). Should I expect my period? What are the possible reasons for my cycle being so weird? Could I be pregnant? Should I test? I have been TTC for about 4 months. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Do you chart? Do you know when you ovulated? You could have just ovulated early and had a heavy cycle last cycle. As for this month, you could be pregnant but without knowing when you ovulated, I can't say whether you are actually late or not. Many things can affect when you ovulate so you could be just having a later ovulation this month... or you could be pregnant. No way to know without a.)a chart and b.) a pregnancy test. So sure, take a test... hopefully you won't even need to do that pesky charting and you are pregnant! Good Luck!

Do you do BBT? I've found that's the easiest way to keep track of cycles and exactly what's going on. Ovulation can be off a few days sometimes, due to stress, illness, or other unknown reasons. If you O'ed earlier than usual in your last cycle, that would explain the seemingly early AF arrival last month.

As for if you could be pregnant - as long as AF isn't here yet, you could be, and I hope that you are! If AF is late, you may want to test.

I don't know what is going on. Last month I o'ed on time. At day 13. Took hpt yesterday and it was negative Guess I will just have to wait and see.. .

do you temp to know you o'd on cd 13 last month? women's cycles can vary in length and heaviness of AF just at random so I wouldn't be concerned about an odd cycle. if you don't get AF in a couple days try testing again. could just be too early. good luck!
