on the belly style could only see the yolk sack...so we did a trans vaginal.

still only a yolk sack, no fetus. and she REALLY looked.

uterus is measuring at 9 weeks.

amniotic sack is measuring at 6 weeks

probably on my way out.

i was probably progressing well, and then stopped and is now regressing i guess?

so what now..i wait for AF???

In your siggy it looks like you thought you were 7 weeks right? I have no personal experiance but I have heard of people not seeing the heartbeat until 9 weeks, not sure if that included baby. I guess you'll have to talk to your doctor but I would not consent to a d&c right away. I can't say I ever remember them measuring my uterus or at least never telling me. I was always just told what my sac or baby was measuring. According to ultrasound I am 6 days later than I had thought. BIG HUGS!

7 weeks is so hard. It's right there on the cusp of where the detail of a U/S Machine and skill of sonographer really count.

What did your care provider say?

care provider hasn't said anything yet. i guess i should make an appointment *sigh*

ill wait to get the HCG results back, and if they look promising, then ill schedule another u/s in 2 weeks to see if there's any development.

not counting myself out yet, cuz its early,...but at 7 weeks, we should be able to see a fetus and a HB.

Since it was an abdominal ultrasound (rather than transvaginal), it might have been difficult to see baby. Since you should be about 7 weeks, if you're off by a couple days, the sac measuring 6 weeks doesn't sound bad. I am sending positive thoughts your way.. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Not to be negative, but this happened to me.

My first pegnancy, ultrasound at what should have been 10 weeks. Gestational sac with yolk sac in it. Measured 9 weeks. No baby in it. I believe it's called a Blighted Ovum. Usually this means the baby conceived, implanted, and died shortly after, but the "pregnancy" continued off of the hormones. I began spotting about 4 days later, then miscarried.

I was so thankful that I didn't have to pass a real baby, and face the reality of that. I was comforted that the embryo had died very early on.

I hope I haven't made things worse for you! But I thought maybe that information either way would help you sort things out in your mind.

nah, not a downer. she said something about a blighted ovum. but she also said that the yolk sack looks the right size, and full and normal. so now of coarse im doubting her skills as a tech

im sure your right though, its just hard to except.

Oh, sending you all my positive thoughts. I always tell myself, "Until I know for sure, there is no reason to worry". All you do is make things worse for yourself. I know it is hard to do.
