Are there any good wheat free (gluten is ok) taco shells out there? I normally buy the whole wheat ones, but I need a wheat free version now.

Can you eat corn? I think most corn tortillas are gluten free.

Generally, hard taco shells are made from corn. Do you mean soft wraps? I make tacos using traditional soft corn tortillas that I get at bodegas.

My dd is severely allergic to wheat. We just use the Whole Food brand corn taco shells. I think the Bearitos brand is also fine.

Yeah, most taco shells I buy are just corn... I suspect your thinking of tortillas. As for them, I'm pretty sure there are spelt tortillas, though I'm not 100% sure if spelt has gluten or not?

Depending on where you live, you might be able to find soft corn tortillas.

I never even thought of corn tortillas. I'm making this for a friend and she doesn't eat wheat and I never eat tacos so I was stumped for a bit there. Thanks everyone!

My sister (intolerant to corn and wheat) buys brown rice tortillas.
