Whey and cream cheese help

I've tried to make this and it just didn't turn out! What was supposed to be whey just kinda looked like skim milk. I thought whey was supposed to be the watery kind of yellow stuff?? I used raw milk that I had let sit out for about 24 hours. Should it have sat longer? Did it sit to long? Not sure what I did wrong!

That's happened to me before when it needed to sit longer. Sometimes mine need to sit a while longer... you can tell when it separates in the jar.
