Best bottle to use for my EBF baby.

Title says it all. I am thinking about going back to work when he is 6 months old, and his father would like to feed him sometimes... We have the firstyears breastflow bottle, and he is NOT a fan, so if there is a bottle you liked and your baby approved of that will not compromise our EBF relationship, please share!

TIA!

I go on about this all the time, but it took me so long to perfect my pumping system! We used evenflo cheapie glass bottles with evenflow purely comfi slow flow nipples. Those are the only standard (compatible with medela pump), wide base, truely slow flow nipples I could find.

DS (almost 4 mo) seems to like the Tommee Tippee bottles.

Good luck!

My DH had to try several times, and see my step-mom (who works with infants) feed the baby from the Breastflow bottle before he and baby got the hang of it. I think it's a tricky bottle to use correctly, but now that they've figured it out, our little guy seems to like it. He'll even take it from me, if he has to (I tried it once just to see what my husband thought was so damn hard about it--turns out it has to do with the angle at which you hold both baby and bottle).

We used Born Free bottles with the slowest flow nipple available all along for ds. He got an occasional bottle from a few weeks through almost 1 year. Now he's 13 months and I have given up pumping...he just has to wait for milk until I come home.

The best bottle is the one he tolerates. We use the redesigned medela now and it works fine. We used the slow flow until around 10m. A lot less work than our first which used a different nipple and bottle. Much easier to work with your pumping bottles. We used Second Nature with our first.

We use NUKbottles. We tried the breastflow, but dd couldn't figure it out and got pissed. I also bought dr browns, a cheapy gerber, and the tried the medela bottles that came with my pump. I like the nuk ones bc the base of the nipple is wide. She will drink from the medela nipples but they are not wide and I want her to latch wide. We only use them in a pinch, like dishes need to be done. Could you introduce one of the beginner sippys?
Soon after dd2 was born I was freakin bc I *needed* her to take a bottle while I was working part time. She took too it pretty quick. Dd1 was complete opposite. Never. took. a. bottle. Dh had to spoon feed and use a medicine dropper. And when she got a bit older 5mo? we got the advent beginner sippy and took out the valve and he just poured the milk in her mouth, she was like a baby bird. Dh was SO relieved when dd2 took a bottle. Still to this day I am amazed when I come home and dh says she drank 12 oz while I was gone.
