Homeopathic remedy for sleep issues

Has anyone tried Hylands Calms Forte? What did you think? I am very cautious about giving DS anything at all, but have successfully used Hylands teething tablets. DS is 2 so Calms Forte is ok to use...I am just nervous for some reason.

DS has always been a difficult sleeper. He has slept through on a few occasions but recently has been waking so often. I can't correlate it with anything - no teething, no illness, no major changes. He is not nursing. Last night, he was up hourly and has been up nearly every hour for the past 2 weeks. I am ready to fall flat.

I really like it for myself, but it doesn't really work for my DS. Or my sister (11). For me, it helps me get to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep but for my son I've noticed that it doesn't help him fall asleep any faster or wake up any less (he's almost 2 and it takes him about 30 min on a good night to 1 hour on a bad night to fall asleep and he's up in the night any where from not at all to every couple of hours (he's night weaned, btw). When my little sister tried it (she's just now transitioning to her own room and takes 2 hours to fall asleep and wakes in the night) it didn't put a dent in her problem either. Nor did melatonin for that matter.

I don't know what to tell you to try instead. I'm just hoping that it gets better with time in our case. Today is the first day where I might let DS skip his nap to see if it helps him get better night sleep.

Hi Jend1002! You responded to my plea for help with a similar issue (thank you) and so I wanted to leave you a comment too. I have also thought about using Calms Forte, but have not. Let me know if you do and how it works for your DS.

Update!

I don't want to get too excited but I bought Calms Forte yesterday and gave DS 2 tablets before bed. It took him longer than usual to fall asleep but then he slept from 9 pm until 6 am!!! Miracle!! Of course there are lots of other variables in this experiment- he ate a HUGE dinner, we ran around a lot outside before dinner, I kept the house warmer last night...could be anything. I am psychotic enough to try to repeat this whole combo again tonight. Fingers crossed!
