Loosing weight to fast?

I never thought that I would be worried about loosing it to fast since up till now I havnt lost weight before. But due to health issues it is not an option not to loose.

I have been keeping track of my food intake and exercise online at a place called everydayhealth.com and today when I input my weight loss it said that I may be loosing weight to fast.

I started out at 197 on 7/17/10 and today I am down to 183 so I have lost 14pds in 3 months (13 weeks) My goal was to loose 1pd week and I am over that a bit but is it to much?

I have been walking and riding a stationary bike for exercise last night I rode "10 miles"

I am eating well most of the time. For meat I either eat turkey, chicken or fish and I am eating as many veggies as I can manage right now.

I honestly never thought I would ever loose weight but it is amazing what the threat of major life altering health issues can help you accomplish.

I dont think it is. I am down 60 pounds since mid March.

14lbs in 13 weeks is perfectly fine. You should not lose more than 1-2lbs a week so if it was 28+ lbs it would be too much.

That is what I was thinking then that popped up and had me doubting myself. Because of my liver I cant loose to fast or it can cause even more issues by overworking it if I rush things so I wanted to make sure.

I think you are fine. I've lost 50lbs in 6 months. As long as you feel good, that is your best indicator! Good luck!

I agree..that would be totally fine. That is only slightly over 1 lb a week...which is totally fine.

I am having a hard time not being able eat the things that I love the most. Some days are harder than others I expected that but still can be hard to deal with.

I have been thinking day by day because if I look out to far then it becomes overwhelming.

did you really that is so amazing id love to hear your secrets...i have to loose alot....to be my haelthy weight again.

i could use advice about this too, i lost 5 pounds last week but all i did was drink a ton of water,healthy meals, no sugar and excersised every other day about and hour... it was to good to be true what do i do differently though i feel great, i dont want to loose to much to the point its unhealthy...

The 1-2 lb/week is meant to be an average.  Occassionally you won't lose anything, while some weeks you may lose 5 pounds.  Also, people who have a particularly large amount to lose can expect to lose a bit more than average to start out.  This is normal and ok.  As long as your weight loss is done through sensible eating and staying active, you should be fine.  Keep up the good work!

thanks it had me worried because im eating way healthy and getting excersise not starving, so a puond a day seems fine, just thought id make sure....
