Anyone wanna do a baby and mommy exercise thread

I thought it would be motivational for us to report as often as we can the little chances we get to exercise with our babies.
I used to work out and Im finding it pretty hard with a baby who only takes 20 minute naps. I feel like nothing I can do counts as a work out because it doesnt add up. So, I'm going to try to do little extra things during the day with the baby and see if it can amount to anything.
Today I went for a 30 min. walk up hills with the baby.
Tomorrow Im going to a little yoga while she has tummy time on the floor next to me. Maybe if I get really into this I'll do some squats while she is in the exersaucer. I figure even 10 minutes is better than nothing.

I use the big exercise ball to do tummy-restrengthening exercises (as well as to bounce the baby, which can incorporate some core rebuilding exercises into it) while DS is on the floor. There are a ton of little exercises and of course yoga that are easy to do while baby's on the floor next to you. I also noticed that the instructions that came with the Moby wrap had a whole lot of exercises you could do with the baby on you. I'm sure you could find plenty of videos as well for that.

I have to say though, I have always had a really hard time exercising at home. I am the type of person who needs the structure of a course to actually do it. Unfortunately! Now that I'm very eager to get these last 15 pregnancy pounds off, I've decided to join a gym. DH can be with DS for one or two times a week while I go. Eventually I'd like to get back into my yoga course, but for now we don't have enough childcare so there's no chance.

BTW there's a Health and Weight Management forum here, and I've done some posting there ie. losing the pregnancy weight and getting fit again. You may find more of a response to this idea there. There's also a postpartum weight loss thread there for sharing and motivation. GL!
