Restless Leg Syndrome

Thread Starter
I suffered through this for the first time from approximately the last half of my fifth pregnancy until a bit after birth. It got progressively worse, so bad I could barely practice Hypnobabies.

I'm dreading what's to come as my limbs are already feeling jumpy. I want to sleep as well as possible and to be able to really focus on hypnosis without this crazed feeling in my body. I'll speak with my care provider during my first appointment, have read some of the archives but I'd love whatever wisdom ya'll might have.

I'm at 26 weeks (with my first) and have been having restless legs for the last month or so, and it is getting worse. I too find it difficult to do HypnoBabies because it's very hard to have my lightswitch off when my legs just want to jump all over the place. Last night my legs were still twitching after I fell asleep and they even woke me up again. It's really annoying

This.

Its so frustrating, because when Im in bed, I need to sleep. Starting work early in the morning means that I need my sleep!!

I was *slightly* anemic when I was drawn around 27 weeks at my glucose appointment. Within the past few days Ive started taking iron supplements. Any ideas on how long it should take for me to notice an improvement? Im not having trouble every night, but when it flares up its so frustrating!!

I read an old wives tale about putting a bar of soap under the sheet at the foot of your bed for RLS. I had tried everything........this worked.
Idk why, but it doesnt hurt to try. Even though you feel like a dork when youre doing it.

More iron and more magnesium has helped me - makes it goes away. I had it bad first pregnancy. I haven't had it with this one at all
