Food In The Nose

Thread Starter
I don't know how to keep food out of my 20 month old's nose... It doesn't matter if I'm right there next to him, he will shove crumbs, pieces of ground beef, whatever will fit up there. I have had to start using saline and suctioning out his nose before naps and bedtime (which typically happen after lunch and dinner). I don't know how to keep him from doing this, using gentle discipline or not! (not requesting non-GD ideas--just ideas in general lol) Any suggestions from experienced mommas?

I am sorry. I have no idea. I have a nephew who has been to the ER twice now with things up his nose.

I don't get it. I can't stop mine from taking things out of her nose and eating it.

DD just started doing this. I caught her picking the beans out of her green beans and putting them up her nose. I couldn't believe how many were up there when I started fishing them out!!

I think the only hope is that it'll be a phase that passes quickly...

I had to fish peas out of his nose with tweezers. He's only done it twice. I think the second time he became afraid of the tweezers so he might not do it again.
