My son is 13 months old and has never used a paci, He still loves to nurse....he only ever nurses himself to sleep (one exception is falling asleep in the car), and then nurses back to sleep many times each night. The only problem is, mommy is getting tired!! We do co-sleep so at least I am not getting out of bed to tend to him so often but it is still so many interrurtions that I am thinking about introducting a pacifier now. Any thoughts/experience? I am honestly at the point where we are dealing with so many family health issues right now and am so sleep deprived that I don't have a lot of energy to work through a long process. I've already been doing this for 13 months! Yes I have read No Cry Sleep Solution.

And secondly--I am concerned about the whole plastic issue--hormone disrupters and other unhealthy things in plastics; I really don't like the idea of him sucking on all of that garbage. Has anyone researched a safe(r) pacicifer? I have seen some big onme-piece ones that look like rubber. I don't really know if that's better or not...

Thanks.
