saving to sell?

My house isn't really that bad clutter wise, but I have a closet that has a stash of my kids outgrown clothing and toys. Twice a year I sell her stuff at a consignment sale. Knowing it's in that closet bugs me however....but money would be nice. The clothing doesn't really bother me it's all the other stuff. I worry if I donate little toys to a thriftstore/goodwill they will throw them away...when I sell them at the consignment sale they go in a baggie and people buy them so I know they arn't being thrown away. Do you think I should just bag/tag it all and that will make me feel better?????? Or should I just donate it and not think about where it ends up past that?

It sounds like the worrying about where it ends up feels kind of stressful for you. I would find a thrift or charity I liked and donate it all and take a receipt for tax purposes. I kind of expect when I donate to our local charity thrift that they might find at least 3/4 of it useful and recycle the rest.
