The article though, seemed to be supportive of bf.

Our society has so far to go still. Privacy is nice as I do not want pervs staring, and some will. But my baby will not eat under a blanket. He cries and squirms and fusses, which to me, makes a bigger scene than the nursing itself would. If there is no private place nearby, better be ready to get offended then, cause the boob is coming out.

I'm curious exactly how was she nursing that made everyone think she was being anything less than discreet? ddi she sit there with her swimsuit pulled down to her waist or something? you can only be discreet if you wear a blanket or towel? puleeezzz I will never put anything over my babies head for someone satisfaction, not to mention they woudn't stand for it.

what a load....

I just emailed the author of the article, thanking him.

Checked out the website of the center http://www.marinjcc.org/ (Had to laugh at them touting how family friendly they are. NOT!).

Here's their email, in case anyone needs to send them any correspondance about anything: info@marinjcc.org

Good for her!!! And the article was really good too.

Blech to the community center

I never can understand why the fact that old people are present is a big deal? What? Seniors don't know what breasts do??

That did seem like an incredibly supportive article though -- I think they came off as the bad guys and she was very reasonable.

makes about as much sense as letting someone eating a Big Mac do it wherever the heck they want, but if someone is eating a salad, they must do it with a blanket over their head.

And the salad is SO much healthier!

It's really hard for me to believe that this happened in the bay area. I mean there is just so much support for bf'ng out there that I would think that these people at this center would really seem odd and out of date to veiw bf as anything but normal and natural.

I really liked that article. The reporter is awesome.
