I'm currently a student (as is DH) and we plan on homeschooling our DDs (currently 2yrs old and 9mths old) while we both work FT. I have faith that it can be done (I'm part of a yahoo group for parents that work and homeschool) although I know that our ambitions may have to stay in check for a while (no learning Latin or anything for a while.
) It helps that we'll be fairly relaxed homeschoolers.
Anyway, its really to soon to commit to a certain curriculum, but I enjoy looking and trying to get familiar with which curriculums would meet our needs and which wouldn't.
I really like the ideas behind RightStart, I'm just wondering about the time it takes to implement it. i'm hoping I'll be able to work 4 days/week, which would create a 3 day weekend (and I have no objections to 'doing school' on the weekends).
Obviously, given our situation (a lot to fit into a small amount of time), we need a program that doesn't have overly-lengthy lessons. Some review (and math games) can be done by our nanny during the day, but the lessons themselves will have to be taught by me or dh on the weekends or after the workday.
If you think rightstart would take up too much time for us, what are some similar programs that are less time-consuming?
