My daughter wants a bath ALL THE TIME!

Right now she is standing at the baby gate, she's taken off her shirt, doing the sign for 'bath, and pulling on her pants... And she's crying... and she's had a bath just about two hours ago.

How do you deal with this? How many baths a day are you willing to do?
Thanks,
Courtney

My DD (also born July '09) LOVES baths too. Up until recently, she would SCREAM as I was taking her out of the bath. Thankfully she doesn't do that anymore! She's always trying to get into the bathroom, and will yell "duckies" until I go in there and get her one.

All I can really suggest is to try to get her attention on something else. Maybe bring her bath toys out so she can play with them?

Good luck!

my may 09 baby recently went through that phase. it is a phase, now she only asks for one a day instead of 9. I was willing to stick her in the tub to let her play 2-3 times a day. I think it's that they realize their bath toys are lots of fun and love playing with the water. I didn't really see it as an issue if I had time to sit with her. (I did not wash her every time, just let her play)

DD knows how to get in and out of the tub safely and cannot yet turn on the water. Any time she wants, I'm happy to take off her clothes and throw a towel on the floor of the tub, and she can play in the dry tub without me having to be right there. I just make sure anything too dangerous (razor, soap, etc) is out of reach.

My DD loved baths and spent hours and hours in the water some days.

If you can fold clothes on the bed, or read a magazine, or plan your grocery list while sitting in the bathroom with her, hey! why not?

My DD also LOVED to play in the kitchen sink. So I often ended up with her in one side while I did dishes in the other.

My kid is the same way.... only she won't take one alone. She will start out alone but freak out if I don't get in with her within 10 minutes.

I usually only did 2 a day, but I wouldn't be opposed to 3 if that's what he wanted.

I stick to one a day, unless it's very hot. For DS the only rule is that the sun must be gone. That keeps him from insisting on taking baths all day long. Then, for my sanity, I usually join him in the tub for a good hour until he's totally tired out. Works for both of us!
