reaching RF weight limit for Britax Marathon--suggestions for new seat

My son is 33 months old and rapidly approaching the weight limit for his Marathon, which expires next year anyway. I drive an '89 Honda Accord and don't have access to a Radian that I can try before buying. I'm also considering a Graco My Ride 65 and am open to other suggestions, since the Radian would be a bit of a stretch financially and a new car is not a possibility.

How tall is he? The MyRide is about the same height as the Marathon and some kids outgrow that by height before weight, so it's something to consider. Also if he's taller it may not last him to booster age FF. The Complete Air is another option - walmart & target carry it around here and it RF to 40lbs with a tall shell. It's more likely to last until booster age, too.
