but for me not dd
One year w/out homeschooling was enough to make me lose my confidence to create our own curriculum as we go. I went ahead and spent some money on a curriculum and spent alot of money on the required selection of books to go with that curriculum. Most of the books were way below/easier than dd's needs
. I decided to go with it anyway and just supplement to bring it where dd needed to be.
I realized I was using my supplement materials way more than the curriculum and went ahead and contacted the provider about trading what I had for the next grade level up. They agreed to do it at a savings, but not a complete trade-in because 3 months have passed (I don't blame them). Then I wrote out how much I have pulled together and realized my "supplementing" is plenty. I don't just have enough materials, I have enough confidence again and we are back to "winging it"
