Post-birth bleeding

Hello fellow mothers...
I have had my first baby. She's 7 1/2 weeks.
I stopped bleeding around week 4 and was down to just very light discharge.
Now at 7 1/2 weeks I'm getting a bloody / brown discharge again. Is this "normal"? Should I be concerned?
My DH wonders if this is a period, but I don't think so? It doesn't feel like one...
I EBF and had a vaginal birth with some tearing / stitches and have felt 100% for a few weeks now...

THANKS!

Congratulations on your new baby! My little one is 3 months now, and I bled for about 5 weeks, then stopped, then started up again at 7 weeks and continued until 9 weeks. As long as you aren't soaking though a pad in an hour or passing large golf ball size clots, I think you are still within the realm of "normal." Usually decreasing your activity lightens the bleeding. Of course if you are concerned though, contact your care provider In the meantime try to get plenty of rest (ha!).
