I tried looking this up elsewhere, and with the exception of a small few, most people advise against taking this on an airplane. Unfortunately, we are dealing with an emergency of sorts and will probably be making a sudden trip. I don't really have the time (or the funds) to go out and by something else. I *may* possibly be able to borrow someone's Boulevard, but even that will be somewhat of a pain to pull off. So is it a really bad idea to try to bring the Frontier?

I would pick up one of those carts with wheels on it from wal-mart and use that to carry it around.
If you are flying with 2 adults, have one board ahead with the carseat to install it, and then the second adult be in charge of kid/carry on bags.
Wheely cart thing can go under the seat or in the overhead.

The hard part will be getting the seat installed. Ask the flight attendant for a seat belt extender and send ahead one person in your party, if flying with two. If flying with only one adult, ask the gate attendants to let you pre-board; make sure they understand it is to their advantage as it will take a few minutes to install the seat.

I recently took DD's new Frontier on a southwest flight-- it was a tight fit, especially with me being pregnant and huuuge but it fit okay and we just used the regular belt. I used a rolly cart that fit as a carryon in the overhead, bungeed the seat to it. I was much happier on the return flight when I had an empty seat on the other side of me, but again, I'm huge right now
