2yr old retracting, do I clean it?

I want to make sure to do the right thing here. My intact DS just turned two, and I've never had any issues with the matter. While cleaning him from a dirty diaper a few days ago I saw that I was retracting him without meaning to. I had already let go and it was sliding back into place before I even noticed it. It did give me a little shock, as I was afraid I might have hurt him, but he didn't respond or seem to care. I have noticed ballooning for some time now, but didn't think he could retract. My real question is, at this point do I rinse him clean in the bath, or continue or leave it alone? I'm just asking because he did just turn two and it's not like he bathes himself. I'm nervous to check how far he retracts, is that something I should do?

A few kind words of confidence would do me well here. As sometimes you can read so much information, it's overwhelming. Thanks!

Just continue doing what you've been doing; that should be fine. If he is accidentally retracted during a diaper change just be sure to movemhis foreskin back and the same in the tub. You don't need to do anything additional at this point, as he starts to take more responsibility for bathing you'll want to teach him to retract rinse and replace. It's likely though that he'll figure that out through the course of normal exploration.

no need to do anything different.
