DH and I just moved to a new house and are now on well water. I took DD (2yo) to see a new pediatrician and she wrote me a prescription for flouride and told me to give her a supplement every day since there is no flouride in our water now. She said it's only necessary until age 3 then the pediatric dentist will decide if flouride supplements are still necessary.
I saw some older posts about flouride and a lot of people being against it but really haven't had time to do any research of my own. Does anybody have any links or info they can provide about why I should or should not give her the supplement? My gut tells me not to give it to her but I need something to back that up when DH starts questioning me
TIA!

: I miss having well water. Fluoride is a neurotoxin and has been linked to bone cancer and thyroid issues. As someone who has multiple cancer issues (essential thrombocythemia, plus a lymph node that is suspicious for lymphoma that is being removed next week) and a family history of thyroid issues, we try to minimize the amount of unfiltered tap water we drink as a result.
