They got neutered!

I took Theodore and Artemis to PAWS Chicago yesterday (I highly recommend them, they are super nice and were very patient with my cats). They got neutered.

Prior to neutering, Theodore was peeing on the couch any time there was a blanket, cushion, pillow, anything on it. Since being neutered, he has not done so ONCE! I am gradually adding things back on the couch (slipcovers, cushions, etc) and I am so glad to see him not doing it anymore. I heard DH praising him before he left to work

Everything was fine with their surgery, they were not the least bit nauseous after they came home and ate just fine. They are back to their usual selves today, though a little more mellow. They don't seem to be in any pain and are doing great.

Oh, and the vet there told us that they were about 5 months old based on weight and baby teeth falling out and such.

I just got back from being out of town and saw your post - I'm glad to hear the kitty boys are doing well!

One word of caution: I'd add the soft items back veeery slowly - one day is certainly not enough time to be sure that the neutering has solved the issue you were having. I'd likely wait until they are fully recovered (10-14 days from what I usually hear) to really start pushing the envelope there.
