I have to preface this by saying my son is very forthcoming and accepting of his Autism dx. He (and we all in our family) sees it as a different way of being.
While leaving Target DH says "Oh look, they are offering flu shots for $25." Pretty sarcastically.
I replied with "Uh, no thanks."
He quips back "Why, because vax cause Autism?"
(Just to clarify, we aren't anti-vax. We also don't believe Autism is caused by vax.) This is just common rhetoric type conversation DH and I have back and forth at each other for no reason at all, lol.
Out of nowhere DS pipes up and says "Well that'd be good!"
Dh and I both giggle and said "What, you mean a vax that causes Autism?"
DS: "Yeah, then everyone would have Autism and that would be normal. Those without Autism would be the weird ones. That'd be cool."
He cracks me up! This, of course, led to all 3 kids discussing how the world would be different. The differences were all positives too.
