sick child! can i nurse again?

my 2 1/2 year old dd went off the breast 3 months ago. @ that point she was only getting it once or twice a day for a few minutes, usually at nap or bedtime. i felt ready for her to be done, as i am pregnant, and just felt like i was ready with another on the way. she was always a very healthy child/babe, but ever since she's weaned...we have had some issues with various illnesses.

SO, i am 33 weeks pregnant and dd has been throwing up, haphazardly for 3 weeks. she'll be ill for a few days, get better, then its back to vomiting. its always at night?? anyway, we have been to the e.r. and doctor's office, trying to figure out the problem. so far, no answers. maybe a virus? many other obvious illnesses/causes have been ruled out. waiting to hear tomorrow if it could possibly be a tonsil issue, where when she lays down she is getting drainage or blockage, causing upset tummy or breathing issues that lead to vomiting.
ANYWAY, i have this intuition that giving her some breast milk might be good for her right now. as i said, haven't nursed her since july, and i am 33 weeks pregnant. i am thinking of just trying to pump some and give it to her, or then again maybe even just giving her the breast.

can i get any milk now? will it cause issues going into labor early?

I would not. Too risky for your pregnancy. You'll have a lifetime of dealing with illness without nursing. It'll all fall into place. hope the docs have an answer soon.

You probably won't be able to get any milk. Pregnancy tends to dry it up pretty thoroughly if you stop for any period of time.
I don't know, I would try if I suspected there was still milk there. If you start pumping and you feel any cramping, obviously stop. It's not like you're going to start pumping and instantly go into labor... Do you have any history or risk factors for preterm labor? If not, I wouldn't worry too much... just listen to your body. More than likely it won't work anyways.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. Awful for your little one to be sick for such a long time... I'd be thinking breastmilk, too!

If you can't produce milk, what about a milk bank? Or are any of your friends breastfeeding who could donate a few bottles? I'm just trying to think outside the box... or the breast, as it were.
