Chart Help

I need some help understanding my charts. Here's the only one I've done on FF so far. Based on the past, I expect my temp. to rise tomorrow. But here's my question, my "fertility signs" like CM, cervical placement, etc. seem to start reverting backwards about the time I get a positive ovulation test. If I were to guess my "most fertile time" based on the physical signs, I would probably actually guess the day before or maybe the day of the positive ovulation tests. I also get ovulation pain the exact same time as a positive ovulation test. Is that normal? Here's my chart (and yes, I noted 3 days of ovulation pain, but it started the evening of day 14 and ended the morning of day 16 so probably lasted 36 hours...)

I have heard that sometimes the fertility signs disappear slightly before the rise in temperature so what you are experiencing sounds normal. According to what I recently read in the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, the day of peak CM and CP is normally 1 or 2 days before the temperature rise. For the best chances I have read that it is better to BD on the day your signs say you are most fertile as opposed to the day of O. However if you want to be on the safe side you could keep BDing until O is confirmed by the rise in temp.

Usually the positive OPK doesn't indicate that you are ovulating, but rather that you are going to ovulate soon, since the surge in luteinizing hormone (which is what the test is measuring) is what triggers ovulation so ovulation happens slightly after this surge. So normally O is 12-36 hours after the positive OPK (though its still possible for it to be the same day).

Not everyone experience O pain exactly at the moment they are ovulating, some feel it slightly before. What you might be feeling is the follicles in your ovaries swelling to a much larger size very quickly or something, as opposed to the exact moment of when the egg bursts out of the follicle.

Also when you are more fertile your cervix is higher (I find it hard to reach on my most fertile days, but I have no problem reaching it the rest of the month) so it is not entirely clear on your chart that your cervix has become less fertile in the last couple of days.

Ok, you are correct about the high/low thing, not sure why I had that messed up. Maybe I should give tracking that up, DH does it, but he seems to have a hard time comparing day to day...

I also have a tough time figuring out differences in my cervix from one day to the next but I do know there is a HUGE difference in my cervix between my most fertile day and the middle of my period. I have found that after a couple of months it has become easier as I have figured out what is high/medium/low for me etc...

I think you could have ovulated yesterday or the day of your pos OPK but not before. OPKs don't pinpoint ovulation nor does O pain, but in combination with temps being primary, that is what makes it more accurate.
