I do a timing-based method of EC with DS, and it usually works pretty well. He's mostly dry all day and night and we go through an average of about 2-3 dipes every 24 hours.
I ordered him some tiny undies and they came earlier this week, while I was out of town. I put them on him for the first time yesterday. He looks so cute in them.
They look like a little speedo, lol.
Anyway. So sometime in the morning, I took him to the bathroom. It was so nice to be able to just pull some undies down instead of fiddling with pins on a baby who only wants to stand up, lol. He was dry and had been for a while, but didn't go. About two minutes later, I'm sitting at the table and DS pulls up on my legs... and pees on my foot. LOL. Good times.
So I clean that up and put on a new pair. Sometime during the day he had both of his naps, in undies, and stayed dry for them.
But then after his second nap, I noticed him walking around w/ a... "spot" on the back of his undies. Uh oh, that can't be good. I did a quick survey of the area he had been playing and it seemed to be clean, which meant that all the poop was contained in the undies.
So I took him into the bathroom and stood him up and pulled down his undies... careful, careful... try to minimize the mess... one foot out, careful... so far so good... ... oh, STINK! He stepped in it. lol.
It was late enough in the day by then that I just went ahead and put him back in a diaper. I don't mind changing sheets during the day, but don't really want to do it in the middle of the night yet, so he wears a diaper at night still.
We will try the undies again on Monday. Would have done it today (and would have succeeded b/c he was dry after all) and through the weekend, but we have too many out-of-the-house things to do and I don't think my friends/church need to be peed on/in.
