I have eggs!!

Two of my four hens are now laying! Today we got a smaller-than-a-golfball egg from my Australorp, and my Wyandotte has been laying for about 10 days.

Yes, I'm new at this, but I'm so excited! We just started our urban-ish homesteading adventure last year, so any little step towards food independence makes me so happy.

Just wanted to share, since I know you ladies will understand (my family thinks I'm nuts...)!

Congrats! I am still waiting for my 5 teen hens to start squatting.....and then comes those eggs!

So exciting!! My 8 girls started laying 2 months ago and I'm still so excited about the fresh eggs coming in every day! I haven't needed to buy a single carton of eggs since they started laying, they are just awesome! Oh, and the farm fresh eggs are SO MUCH BETTER than grocery store ones!
