How long to give mega doses of SA for pertussis?

It's a battle to give my 6 month old her daily dose of SA. She has been fighting me. She is EBF baby and hates the bottle. She has been diagnosed with pertussis (test came back positive - hello Health Department and doctors!).
Are 10 days of SA enough? Her cough seems to be much better (knockknock).
Only at night it seems getting worse.
Any advice?

I don't really know how long, I'd expect longer than 10 days but you'd need to see what happens when you lessen the dosage. But you don't need to give SA via a bottle. When DS was that age and sick, I'd use a medicine syringe, the kind you buy at a drugstore--they hold about 2 tsp of liquid and just mix the SA into 2 tsp of water and squirt into the cheek. Much quicker. Maybe even use juice if the salty taste of the SA in water is a real problem.
