Ped sharing about DC's vax status with others

Our ped went to visit my parents the other day, and I guess, during their conversation, DS's vax status came up

Really? what makes it OK for the ped to share this kind of information with them? Isn't it protected medical information?

It's not OK, it's a violation of HIPAA and your privacy and you should report that person.

Unless your parents listed on your HIPAA paperwork as people who medical info can be divulged to, that seems like a pretty clear violation.
